Senior Libyan and American officials have met in Tripoli to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
The meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office brought together Libya’s Minister of Transport, Mohamed Al-Shahoubi, the Prime Minister’s financial adviser, and Jeremy Berndt, the Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Libya.
According to a government statement, discussions focused on joint priorities and mechanisms to enhance collaboration—particularly in improving financial governance and institutional reform.
Both sides stressed the importance of transparency and public accountability in government spending, reaffirming their commitment to sustained coordination in pursuit of shared interests.
