Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah discussed in a telephone call with his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, a number of political and economic files of common interest, in addition illegal immigration.
The conversation between Dbeibah and Meloni centred around the Trans-Mediterranean Migration Forum scheduled to be held in Tripoli in mid-July. The Forum aims to discuss the issue of illegal immigration and create a strategic framework that enhances dialogue and cooperation between Africa and Europe in this field.
The two parties stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation to confront common challenges and strengthen joint relations.
