The Military Engineering Department has disposed of around three tons of war remnants that were recovered from Tripoli International Airport, the Libyan army confirmed in a statement.

The engineering teams found the remnants while combing Tripoli International Airport and its vicinities to make way for the reopening of the facility, the Chief of Staff explained.

The remnants, which were of various kinds, were successfully disposed of at the detonation site, in cooperation with the Intelligence Department, the Military Police Department, and the Military Medicine Service, according to the statement.
