The General Staff of the Libyan Army confirmed that its forces are abiding by the instructions given to them and the principles of international humanitarian law.

In a meeting with the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Libya; the Libyan Army Chief, Mohammed Al-Sharif emphasized the need for cooperation in order to mitigate the effects of war on citizens, according to the media office of the Libyan army forces, Tuesday.

In turn, the head of the ICRC mission undertook to provide all humanitarian services and technical expertise within its potential, as well as delivering training programs in international humanitarian law.
