The Libyan authorities confirmed the handover of 12 Egyptian children, whose parents were fighting alongside ISIS in Sirte, to their Egyptian counterpart last Thursday.

"Children aged between 5 and 14 years were flown to Cairo under the auspices of the Red Cross, in coordination with the Libyan and Egyptian Red Crescent," a source from the Libyan Red Crescent told Libya Observer.

Hundreds of ISIS families are still being held in private premises in Libya, after the death and capture of their husbands and fathers, amid persistent efforts by the Libyan authorities to repatriate them to their countries.
