Authorities in Libya seized Sunday narcotics smuggled in three cars imported from Belgium.

The Law Enforcement Department of the General Directorate of Security Operations said that cooperation between the Law Enforcement Department in Tripoli, the Information Technology Office of the Attorney General Office, and the Ghadames Security Directorate led to the arrest of the owner of the three cars.

Around 85 parcels containing tablets suspected of being "Ecstasy" psychotropic substances, 127 parcels of hashish, and two parcels of heroin were found in Nissan, Volkswagen, and Opel motor vehicles.

The Law Enforcement Department confirmed that legal measures are underway to refer the offender to the relevant authorities.
