The Libyan Coast Guard stated that one of their patrols directly targeted a ship named Goeast, which is used to smuggle Libyan fuel.
The ship was flying the Comoros flag near the area of Bukhamash, west of Zuwarah Friday.
The Coast Guard fired at the ship with 30mm ammunition after the foreign ship refused to obey instructions ordered by the Coast Guard resulting in significant damage to the fuel tanks and engine compartment.
