The Libyan Coast Guard has rescued about 200 illegal immigrants aboard five boats, north off Tripoli's coast, in three separate operations on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday,

"A patrol boat managed to pick up 199 immigrants from different African and Asian nationalities and disembarked them in drop-off points in Tripoli, Zawiya, and Al-khoms," Libyan Coast Guard said.

The migrants were provided with humanitarian and medical assistance and were handed over to the Illegal Immigration Control Agency, according to the Libyan Coast Guard.
