The Libyan Crimes Watch (LCW) Organization on Saturday called on the authorities in the east of the country to reveal the fate of the kidnapped and forcibly disappeared and to release them unconditionally, holding them responsible for their safety and life, stressing the need to respect the right to freedom of opinion and expression.

In its report on human rights violations in Libya for the month of September, the LCW called on the Attorney General to open effective investigations to prosecute and hold accountable those responsible for endangering the lives of civilians during the recent clashes in the city of Al-Zawiya and the Warshafana region in the western region.

The Independent Fact-Finding Mission in Libya also called for an urgent investigation into the ongoing violations against civilians, and to work to ensure that the perpetrators do not go unpunished.
