The Libyan Crimes Watch Organization confirmed in a statement Friday, that it had documented the deaths of two detainees inside Qurnada prison south of Al Bayda, as a result of neglect and poor medical care.
The statement said that Mohammed Al-Ghuwail, aged 23, had died inside the prison because of lung disease, and was deprived of receiving treatment.
"Ashraf Al-Qadi, aged 56, was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure, and had also died of lack of medication," the organization added.
It also voiced concern over the spreading of infectious diseases inside the prison.
