The Egyptian capital Cairo is due to host scheduled meetings of the Libyan-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee next Thursday in the presence of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdel Hamid Dbeibah, along with his Egyptian counterpart, Mustafa Madbouly.

The Libyan Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hawij, arrived in Cairo on Monday leading a ministerial delegation in preparation for the forthcoming meetings, according to a statement by the Ministry of Economy on its official Facebook page today, Tuesday.

The statement further indicated that the committee’s meetings fall within the framework of strengthening relations, the raising of trade exchange between both countries and concluding agreements in several areas of mutual interest.
