The Libyan embassy in Serbia has announced that preparations are underway to commemorate the ‘Libyan-Serbian Cultural Day’.

The festivity will be held on September 18 at the African Arts Museum in the Serbian capital Belgrade.

The Libyan Foreign Ministry stated on its Facebook account, that this festivity is to be held for the first time, since the beginning of the two countries’ historical relations in 1953. This is part of the embassy's continued efforts, to cement bilateral relations, and strengthen the historical friendship between the two countries, it added.

The celebration aims to introduce the authentic cultural heritage of the peoples of both countries, and will include many cultural activities and historical collections, with the participation of the Libyan community in the Republic of Serbia.
