The Libyan Fatwa House and the High Council of State (HCS) mourned the death of martyr Ismail Haniyeh: the head of political bureau of Hamas.

The Fatwa House described Haniyeh as having “joined his sons, grandchildren and comrades and achieved what he wished for after a long journey of fighting.”

The HCS offered condolences to the Islamic world in general, to the Palestinian people, and to Hamas in particular, for the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh.

On Wednesday morning, Hamas announced the assassination of Haniyeh in the Iranian capital, saying in a statement that he died “as a result of a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran.”
