The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Al-Taher Al-Baour, discussed with the British ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden, the necessary steps to open a consular affairs office for issuing British visas in Tripoli.
During a meeting held on Wednesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tripoli, the two sides also discussed areas of mutual cooperation in the fields of economy and education.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the talks addressed the arrangements for upcoming visits by delegations from both sides, aimed at strengthening cooperation and deepening the partnership between the two countries.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing and developing Libyan-British relations in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly peoples and opens new avenues for future cooperation, according to the ministry.
