The Libyan Foreign Minister Najla Al-Mangoush discussed in a meeting on Tuesday with the UAE ambassador to Libya, Mohammed Al Shamsi, bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on its Facebook page that the Emirati ambassador had reaffirmed his country's keenness on Libya's stability and support for the efforts of the UN envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily, to hold elections as soon as possible.

Al-Mangoush held a meeting also on Tuesday with the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Barbara Leaf, and accompanying delegation to discuss preparations for elections and boosting the security situation in Libya.
