The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Khalid Mazen, held discussions with his Turkish counterpart, Suleyman Soylu, on a number of files, not least of which was developing and strengthening the capabilities of the Libyan police force.

This came during a meeting on Saturday in Tripoli, during which they also discussed the strengthening of security cooperation between both countries.

It is worth noting that a high-level Turkish delegation arrived in Tripoli on Saturday, led by the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, at which time talks took place with various officials, including the Prime Minister of the GNU, Abdel Hamid Dbeibah.
