The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity has announced that a Libyan man handed over a number of artifacts to the Tourism Police and Antiquities Protection Service, Masalata Branch.
The Ministry explained, in a post on its Facebook page, that the citizen found these pieces while conducting an archaeological survey in the city of Masllata as part of his studies to obtain a doctorate degree in the field of archaeology, where the handover process took place in the presence of the head of the branch and the head of the cultural heritage unit in the branch.
The Ministry of Interior appreciated the man’s action, which reflects his keenness to protect the country’s cultural and historical heritage.
