Member of Parliament Abdul Salam Nasiyah has officially requested the support of Tunisia for his candidacy in the upcoming Arab Parliament presidential elections.

During a meeting with Tunisian Parliament Speaker Ibrahim Bouderbala at the Bardo Palace in Tunis, Nasiyah outlined his vision for the role, highlighting his plans for strengthening Arab unity and fostering closer cooperation among Arab nations, according to the spokesperson for the Libyan House of Representatives, according to Parliament spokesman Abdullah Blehiq.

Bouderbala praised the importance of the Arab Parliament in promoting joint Arab action, achieving economic integration, and defending Arab causes, urging greater coordination among Arab states in international forums.

The meeting comes at a critical time for the region, with both parties stressing the need for enhanced dialogue and consultation to address pressing issues facing the Arab world.
