Yousef Al-Aqouri, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Committee in Libya’s House of Representatives, held discussions with Swiss Ambassador Joseph Renggli on the ongoing political situation in Libya.
Central to the talks were the crisis at the Central Bank of Libya and efforts toward national reconciliation.
The discussions emphasized the importance of collaboration on human rights, with Al-Aqouri underscoring the role of his committee in addressing migration, vulnerable populations, and enhancing citizenship rights.
He also advocated for reopening the Swiss Embassy in Tripoli and the consulate in Benghazi to facilitate travel procedures for Libyans, given Switzerland’s role as a host to key international organizations.
