The Libyan Navy has rescued 114 illegal immigrants in two separate operations off the shores of Khoms city, east of Tripoli, the spokesman for the Libyan Navy, Brigadier General Ayoub Qasim said Saturday.

Qasim clarified in a press statement that a Coast Guard patrol rescued 30 migrants, including 25 men, 4 women, and one child, from a rubber boat 80 miles north of the city of Khoms.

In another rescue operation, another patrol rescued 84 migrants off the shore of Khoms.

The migrants were provided with humanitarian and medical assistance before being handed over to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Khoms.
