The General Staff of the Libyan Army announced the arrival of the navy ship "Ibn Auf" in Tunisia to participate in the "Phoenix Express 2024" training, organized by the US Africa Command (AFRICOM).
These trainings, in which countries including Tunisia, Italy, Turkey, Algeria, and Morocco participate, aim to enhance security cooperation in the Mediterranean, and exchange expertise in the fields of maritime safety, combating illegal immigration, and search and rescue operations.
"Ibn Auf" is one of the most prominent warships of the Libyan fleet, and has been equipped with the latest equipment to carry out multiple long-term missions, whether military or humanitarian.
