The Algerian President, Abdelmajid Tebboune, received the credentials of the new Libyan ambassador to Algeria, Saleh Himma Mohammed on Thursday.
The ceremony was attended by the Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ramtane Lamamra, and the Director of the Office of the Presidency, Abdulaziz Khalaf, according to a statement by the Algerian presidency on Facebook.
Himma told reporters after his meeting with President Tebboune that the latter had affirmed his full support for Libya, the legitimacy of elections, and the development of trade and economic exchange between the two countries.
He also said that they had discussed a number of issues of joint interest, expressing his wishes for the stability of Algeria, which he said strongly supports Libya to achieve stability and build a new, prosperous state.
