Libyan prisoners overseas

A meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tripoli, led by the Director of the Migration and Expatriates Affairs Department and officials from the Ministry of Justice, discussed the status of Libyan prisoners overseas.

The talks reviewed existing databases on cases and rulings, examined bilateral and multilateral judicial agreements, and explored ways to reactivate prisoner exchange mechanisms.

Officials also proposed organizing expatriate unions and associations under existing laws.

The meeting aligns with plans for a national project to support Libyan expatriates, set to launch in the near future.
