The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, who is also the Defense Minister, reiterated Thursday the need to organize the military institution, adding in a meeting in Tripoli with the Chief of the General Staff, Mohammed Al-Haddad, that the personnel and soldiers must all be identified.

The meeting aimed to follow up on the issues of organizing the military institution and the status of its personnel as well as the retired ones.

The meeting came one day after Dbeibah had sent a letter to the Presidential Council reiterating that he was entitled to name the Defense Minister in consultation with the Presidential Council, which urged last Monday Dbeibah to attend a meeting next Sunday to name a Defense Minister or it would name one and send it for House of Representatives' approval if he failed to show up.
