Libyan-Tunisian talks to solve “similarity of names” problem
Libya and Tunisia have agreed to end the problem of “similarity of names” facing Libyans at Tunisian airports and border crossings, and to overcome the difficulties facing the entry of citizens between the two countries.
This came during talks held by the two parties on Tuesday to complete the discussions aimed at addressing the lists of similar names and the existing restrictions in the security systems regarding a number of Libyan citizens, according to the government's media office.
Last Friday, the Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity confirmed that nearly 1265 cases of similar names have been removed from the Tunisian system, pending consideration of the remaining 231.
