Libyan Coast Guard managed to rescue illegal immigrants from the sea, after their dinghy sank off Garabulli area, about 60 nautical miles northeast of Tripoli.

"A patrol boat of the Libyan Coast Guard managed to pick up 82 migrants who were clinging to their wrecked boat that was taking in water, amid cold sea-water temperatures," Libyan Maritime Information Office said.

The migrants were of different African nationalities and were handed over to the Illegal Immigration Control Agency in Janzour shelter, after providing them with humanitarian and medical assistance.
