The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanallah clarified that Libya's current production of crude oil amounts to 1.3 million barrels per day.

During the Oil and Gas Forum in Benghazi, Sannallah explained that the production ranges from 1.25 to 1.27 million barrels per day, noting that it sometimes hits 1.3 million barrels daily, according to Reuters.

Libya's oil production reached 1.28 million barrels per day in September, the highest level since August 2013.

The NOC is seeking to increase the production to more than 2 million barrels daily by 2022.
