The Libyan Presidential Council, as Chief Commander of the Libyan Army, appointed Wednesday Major General, Mohammed Mousa, a commander of the central military zone to replace Mohammed Haddad, who is currently the Chief of General Staff under the Government of National Unity.
Mousa was a deputy commander of the central military zone under Haddad. Before that, he was a commander of Libya Shield Forces in central region.
The Presidential Council established the west coast military zone on August 15, 2021, and appointed Salah Al-Namroush as a commander after promoting him to a Major General.
