Libya’s U-20 Fencing National Team departed for Manama on Wednesday to compete in the prestigious Fencing World Championship, set to take place from January 15 to 20.
The Libyan delegation features a promising lineup of young athletes, including Anas Ben Sweid, Adam Al-Hammadi, Ali Al-Toumi, and Yazan Ben Sweid. Their participation marks another step in Libya’s efforts to showcase emerging talent on the international stage.
Moreover, athletes Haitham Ali and Yamen Ben Sweid will join the team on January 22 to compete in the Arab Junior Championship, running parallel to the World Championship.
Libya’s fencing federation has expressed high hopes for their team, with the dual tournaments offering a platform to test their mettle against regional and global opponents.
