The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) has confirmed that lifting the force majeure on oil fields and ports will positively affect the capacity of the public electricity grid in all parts of Libya.

The company said in a statement on Friday that the re-export would lead to the return of gas supplies to power stations, especially in the eastern region, which would improve the electricity conditions, confirming that its specialized teams will work to reoperate the suspended stations as soon as possible.
