Member of the Presidential Council, Fathi Majbari, condemned what he called the silence of the Presidential Council and its failure to open an investigation into the attack on his residence and “assassination attempt”, as he put it.

Majbari said in a statement issued on Friday that he is studying with many political parties the mechanism to deal with this new and dangerous development.

Majbari arrived on Thursday in Tunisia after an armed brigade attempted to storm his residence in Tripoli and tried to arrest him in what appeared to be a reaction to Majbari’s open support for Haftar's decision to hand over the oil ports to the parallel National Oil Corporation in the east of the country.
