The Foreign Minister of Malta, Evarist Bartolo, has called on the European Union (EU) and the United States (US), to establish a coalition which could win the confidence of Libyans and assist them in ending the war.
This came during a virtual conference of EU Foreign Ministers and the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, in which Bartolo stressed that the priority should be to encourage Libyans to form a united front for their country and future.
He expressed his opinion that if the Libyans themselves do not make the relevant decisions related to their fate, there would be no stability or peace in Libya for the long term.
