The Maltese Customs Department has said that during the past three years, it had confiscated more than 927 million euros worth of goods that violate the UN sanctions imposed on Libya.

The "Times of Malta" newspaper quoted the Maltese Customs as saying that the goods seized included 23 containers carrying stolen speedboats valued at about 135,000 euros and the same number of containers loaded with fireworks worth one million euros.

The Maltese Customs have also seized a massive shipment believed to be originated from Russia, carrying 926 million euros of unofficial Libyan banknotes that were destined for Khalifa Haftar, as well as four containers carrying stolen vehicles valued at 95 thousand euros.
