The head of the Medical Convoys Committee at the Ministry of Health, Ashraf Aburquba, has announced the Committee's intention to send medical convoys of various specialties to remote areas in Libya in 2018.

According to the Ministry of Health, Aburquba said that the work of the Committee will not only provide free services, but it will also provide mobile medical equipment like the sonar scan, ECG, and radiology devices.

Aburquba noted that the Committee will operate analytical departments with facilities containing equipment to do so, as a way to tackle the lack of laboratory technicians in the targeted areas.

He added that the committee is planning on expanding their activities by opening surgical operating rooms, which will be run by the committee.
