Libyan and European officials met in Rome on Thursday to discuss efforts to manage migration and secure Libya's borders.
The meeting, held in the Italian capital, was the sixth in a series aimed at strengthening cooperation between Libya and the European Union in handling migration challenges.
Key figures included Major General Mohammed Al-Lakri, head of Libya's Border Guard, and Major General Reda Issa, chief of the Coast Guard, as well as high-ranking officials from Italy, Malta, other EU nations, and representatives from the European Union Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM).
Discussions focused on bolstering security along Libya's southern and maritime borders, addressing migration flows, and enhancing technical and training support for Libyan authorities.
