The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has enlisted the support of Mellitah Oil & Gas and Total for the second phase of its Million Trees Initiative, aimed at reducing carbon emissions and addressing climate change impacts.
In separate meetings with the companies, the NOC's Sustainable Development Department discussed collaboration strategies and logistical needs for the project's next phase. Both Mellitah and Total have committed to supporting this significant national effort.
Launched in April, the first phase of the campaign focuses on expanding green spaces in desertification-affected areas and combating climate change. The NOC says the initiative underscores its dedication to social and environmental responsibility.
