The member of the Libyan Constitution Drafting Assembly, Nadia Omran, said the Paris agreement to hold elections in Libya is ambiguous and did not specify a mechanism for the upcoming elections.

In a press statement, Omran stressed the need to find a clear constitutional framework before the elections and that the referendum on the constitution should come before any other steps.

She declared her rejection to any alternative options to the referendum on the constitution, adding that all members of the elected constituent body agreed on this, explaining that thinking about finding an illegal constitutional loophole in the constitution is a dangerous precedent.
