The Presidential Council's Head Mohammed Menfi discussed with an African Union delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Congo Jean-Claude Gakosso the latest developments in the political situation in Libya, and preparations for the conference on national reconciliation expected to be held in mid-October in Addis Ababa.
Menfi received the African Union's delegation on Saturday at the headquarters of the Presidential Council in Tripoli, where they also discussed the steps taken by the Presidential Council and the African Union to make the national reconciliation project successful.
The national reconciliation conference, which was scheduled to be held on April 28 in the city of Sirte, was postponed indefinitely, after disagreements between the participating parties.
