The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, has briefed President Joe Biden on the Council's vision for a solution to the political and economic issues, and to achieve stability in Libya.

This came during Menfi’s meeting, Friday, with US President Joe Biden, member of the Congressional Armed Forces Committee, John Garamendi, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, on the sidelines of the deliberations of the summit of the leaders of the United States and Africa.

Biden expressed his country's commitment to supporting Libya's stability and to the success of the peaceful transfer of power.

Garamendi also expressed support for stability efforts in Libya. Pelosi for her part underscored that the United States attaches importance to the Libyan file and it support efforts to build peace and security in the country.
