The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammed Menfi, has confirmed the PC support for any clear international efforts to reach the parliamentary and presidential elections during 2023, and meet the desire of the Libyan people to choose their leaders.
This came during his meeting with the French ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Mihraje, to discuss Libyan political developments, according to the PC media office.
On Monday, the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Abdoulaye Bathily gave a briefing to the Security Council regarding his intention to establish a high-level Libyan committee to enable the holding of presidential and legislative elections in 2023.
