Head of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, cut short his working visit to Tunisia, on Saturday, heading back to Tripoli, due to the armed clashes that have been taking place in the capital since Friday night.

Menfi regrated to the Tunisian President, Kais Saied, for not completing the visit, which he began on Friday.

Menfi arrived in Tunis on Friday, accompanied by Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Manqoush, to participate in the Tokyo International Symposium on Development in Africa (TICAD), which begins on Saturday, in the presence of a number of African head of states and governments, due to wind up on Sunday, according to a statement by the media office of the Presidential Council.
