The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, have reviewed  political and security files in Libya, confirming support reaching stability and elections as soon as possible.

This came during their meeting on the sidelines of the 77th regular session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, according to the Presidential Council Facebook page.

Menfi at the headquarters of the Libyan mission in New York, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity, Najla Al-Manqoush, chaired the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers, stressing the need to strengthen joint work mechanisms and coordinate Arab positions towards the most prominent issues in the region.
