In their capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, the head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, and his two deputies, Abdullah Al-Lafi and Mussa Al-Koni, have held a meeting with the leaders of the Libyan Army to discuss developments in the oil fields after the closures imposed on major export fields.

The meeting, which was held Thursday, was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Mohammed Al-Haddad, and the head of the Petroleum Facilities Guard, Ali Al-Deeb, reviewing the efforts made to resume oil production.

Menfi stressed the need to work on resuming the pumping of oil and to keep it away from any political disputes that negatively affect the source of Libyan income.
