The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, discussed on Sunday, with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) Wiam Al-Abdali, the measures taken by the company to increase production capacity, in order to decrease the loads on the public grid.
During the meeting, the two sides also reviewed the file of completing the new stations, including the Tobruk and West Tripoli power plants, in addition to the necessary and periodic maintenance work, and the measures that must be taken regarding the suspended projects.
Menfi stressed the need for the company to expedite taking the necessary measures to stabilize the electrical power grid, and to prepare urgent plans to solve the electricity crisis in successful ways.
