The Presidential Council head Mohamed Menfi held high-level talks with Qatar’s ambassador to Libya, Khaled Al-Dosari, on Thursday.
The meeting focused on recent unrest and ongoing efforts to stabilise the country. Menfi outlined Presidential Council initiatives aimed at containing violence, preserving the ceasefire, and protecting civilians and public property.
He stressed the importance of aligning international and regional efforts behind a peaceful resolution and reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to leading Libya toward democratic elections and institution-building.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Al-Dosari reiterated Qatar’s firm support for Libya’s sovereignty and unity. He praised bilateral ties and confirmed Doha’s commitment to advancing intra-Libyan dialogue in line with a shared vision for regional stability.
