The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Muhammad Menfi, has praised the Public Prosecution for its efforts in dealing with the cases assigned to it, reaffirming the council's support for the judiciary in carrying out its work to the fullest.

Menfi's remarks came on Tuesday during a meeting with Attorney General Sadiq Al-Sour, at the PC's office in Tripoli.

The Public Prosecutor briefed Menfi on the conduct of proceedings in the prosecutions, including their work to apply the laws in force and follow up on the conditions inside prisons, stressing that management within the government-run detention facilities is carried out per international human rights standards.
