The head of the Presidential Council (PC) Mohammed Menfi, has stressed the importance of consensus among all political parties on a constitutional basis to fulfill the hopes of all Libyans to reach the elections.

This came during his meeting with the German ambassador to Libya, Michael Unmacht, to discuss the developments of the political situation in the country and the efforts of the Presidential Council to resolve the political crisis.

Both sides reviewed efforts to reach consensus between the House of Representatives and the High Council of the State on the constitutional basis and the holding of elections.

Unmacht provided a briefing on the results of the last Berlin conference on Libya, the various international positions on the current crisis, and ways to support the political process.
