The head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, has stressed the need to strengthen work within the framework of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, stressing the importance of reopening the community’s headquarters in Tripoli.

This came during his phone call with Niger President, Mohamed Bazoum, on Monday, during which the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the need to strengthen them to achieve mutual interests.

They also reviewed issues of common interest, and a number of security and military files, including combating terrorism and illegal immigration, securing borders, and preventing transnational crimes.
