Muhammed Menfi, head of the Presidential Council, has welcomed the agreement between the House of Representatives and the High Council of State on the 13th amendment to the Constitutional Declaration as a step towards completing the elections in 2023.
In a brief statement on Monday, Menfi urged the two chambers to promptly form the 6 + 6 committee to achieve the targeted consensus.
He stressed that the principle of respect for States' sovereignty must be preserved in any political or economic process, especially with respect to implementing the UN Security Council's mechanism for managing oil revenues and setting spending priorities.
