The new Head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohammad Menfi, has reiterated that the government would intensify its efforts to provide the coronavirus vaccine in Libya as soon as possible.
Menfi's remarks came in a meeting with his two deputies and the head of the National Unity Government, Abdul-Hamid Dbeibah, on Sunday in Tripoli, in the presence of the medical advisory committee to confront Covid-19.
The New PC's head reaffirmed his support for the work of the Covid-19 committee, pledging to provide all the necessary needs to assist the team in their work.
In previous statements, the head of the scientific advisory committee to combat Covid-19, Khalifa Al-Bakoush, confirmed that they had contracted with Johnson & Johnson to supply 500 thousand doses of the coronavirus vaccine, reassuring citizens that they would work to secure the vaccine for everyone as soon as possible.
